MACY’S UPDATES
A Note from Mary Eaton, Performing Arts Dept. Secretary and Macy’s Trip Lead Escort
Dear Band Parents Extraordinaire,
I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for making the Macy’s trip such a labor of love from the very beginning. Watching the kid’s faces during the parade was the reward for all the effort over the past year of putting the trip together. And now that we are back, the kids are pouring into my office and can’t stop talking about the trip and what it meant to them. And I have you to thank for that.
We could not have done any of this without you dedicated and amazing parents, who helped in many different ways to make this adventure happen. I especially want to thank Tim Dawson and the incredible chaperones, who braved the cold, the rain, and the sleepless nights to make sure this was a fun, safe, once-in-a-lifetime trip for these kids. I’m not sure if I’ve ever seen a more devoted group of parents, and it has been my pleasure to work with you and get to know you.
Thank you for being the kind of parents all kids deserve to have. You are all remarkable people and I’m sending a hug to each one of you.
Mary
Macy’s Bus Lost & Found
Free Enterprise found some items on the coaches after our return last Saturday. They include: a rolled up picture of some sort that is several feet long and signed by the artist. (most likely from Chinatown). Also, a cell phone was found on one of the coaches. If anyone is missing either of these items, please contact Lisa Harbour.

Please don’t forget the incredible and enthusiastic support of our Principal, John Williams and all of the Carmel Clay Schools Administration. We are so fortunate to have a community that values and encourages the performing arts. Take a moment to thank Mr. Williams, and Superintendent Dr. Jeff Swensson next time you see them for their unending support of all the art programs in Carmel Clay Schools.
