Carmel Band Boosters – Weekly Announcement

  • As previously announced, your 220 Guard and Musician Members need all our parents to volunteer to ensure we continue the tradition of Excellence that is Carmel Bands.
  • FUNDRAISERS VOLUNTEERING – Accordingly, *all Marching Band families must sign up to assist with one of the three major fundraisers this year:
  • Car Wash on June 30th
  • Community Night in October or
  • Walled Lake Hosting during Grand Nats’ week in November.
  • The Car Wash and Community Night are NOW FULL….
  • Please sign up to host Walled Lake students if you have not yet volunteered for one of the other two fundraisers.
  • OPERATIONAL VOLUNTEERING – In addition, we are asking families to sign up to help with one operational aspect of the Marching Band program.*
  • Many of our parents have already responded and signed up to help out.
  • Volunteer opportunities are also still available.
  • SIGNUP INSTRUCTIONS - If you did not attend the volunteer fair or have not already signed up on SignUp Genius, please follow the instructions below and sign up on-line.

  • *Registration will not be considered complete until you have signed up to volunteer on SignUp Genius.*
  • Any family who chooses not to volunteer or
  • fails to fulfill their volunteer commitment this year
  • will be asked to pay an additional $100 per student.

  • Thanks to all of our marching band guard and musician families for getting this season off to an incredible start.


  • Parents: Please be advised that on these warm summer days, it is easy for your band member to become dehydrated during practice.
  • Please send a large jug of ice water with your child to practice each day and remind them to drink it during breaks!
  • It is also recommended for your student to bring a cooler with gatorade and don’t forget to send sunscreen, too.
  •  Also, we are asking for donations of gatorade/powerade and water for distribution by the band aide when necessary. Please drop off your donations at the band tower down at the practice field. Thanks so much and again, remind your child of the importance of staying hydrated!!!


  • Please if you would, donate Gatorade or bottled water for the parade. Just drop it off at The Tower and let Brad or any of the Staff know.
