Carmel Marching Greyhounds
At Carmel High School, Marching Band is a fall co-curricular activity. All practices occur outside of the school day: 4 days a week before and after school, and weekends. Every year the marching band performs at invitationals and competes in the ISSMA and Bands of America circuits. On average, the Marching Greyhounds are 300 members strong and accept all students who wish to participate.
The Carmel High School Marching Greyhounds are 6-time Bands of America Grand National Champions and 26-time Grand National Finalist. The marching band is a 6-time BOA Super Regional Champion and 19-time BOA Regional Champion. At the state level, the Marching Greyhounds are 6-time ISSMA State Champions and have made State Finals for 32 years.
The Carmel High School Marching Greyhounds were invited to perform in the 2014 Rose Parade, 2011 and 2022 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and 2004 London New Year’s Parade. In 2007 the marching band was invited to play on the USS Missouri with the Hawaii’s Royal Band.
